How do I care for my linen?

Caring for your linen is surprisingly simple and helps it last a lifetime.

  • Washing: Machine wash on a warm cycle (around 40°C) with a gentle, neutral detergent. Wash with similar colours.
  • Drying: Line drying is ideal and gives it that beautiful natural texture. If you must tumble dry, use a low heat setting and remove it while it's still slightly damp.
  • Ironing: We recommend embracing linen's natural, slightly crumpled look. If you prefer to iron, do so on a medium-hot setting while the fabric is still damp.

What does "stonewashed" mean?

"Stonewashed" is a special finishing process where the linen is washed with natural stones (like pumice) to soften the fabric and relax the weave. This is what gives our linen two of its best features: exceptional softness from the very first day, and its signature, effortlessly relaxed texture. It skips the "breaking in" period that raw linen requires.

Is linen a sustainable choice?

Yes, it's one of the most sustainable choices you can make for textiles. The flax plant, from which linen is made, is incredibly resilient. It requires very little water (often just rainwater is enough), needs no pesticides or fertilizers to grow, and every part of the plant can be used, ensuring there is no waste. It's a choice you can feel good about.
